What is this?
SCARING THE HOES is the new album from JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown. According to the album’s Bandcamp page, JPEGMAFIA practiced making beats on a SP-404 for about a year and this is the result.
You can call this a practice session. This is what we would sound like in the 90s with no pro tools. Im done using the 404 now.
Is it good?
In the words of Mitch Hedberg, “hell yeah, meeting adjourned!” It’s a cacophony, a masterpiece, high energy, although I don’t see how it can scare garden tools, which are inanimate objects incapable of fear.
