Producer Good Food breathes renewed life into the Common Man with new album, Dusty Rhodes.
When an album called Dusty Rhodes falls into your inbox, you’ve got to take a look. I completely forgot about The American Dream before I noticed the cover, thinking instead of a beat-heavy Rhodes ensemble. Fortunately, Good Food had married both ideas for the album art (the late Texan wrestler, this is a dream to listen to (he makes vocal appearances on a number of tracks). The samples on the joint span a wide range of genres, from 80s R&B to piano jazz. There’s even a Mary J Blige remix thrown in for good measure.
