Some Sampleface favourites from the UK – Reppatwa and Motel Eola – joined forces on August 18th and released August 19th the next day, naturally.
There’s no mistaking it – we’ve been heavily late on this. We’re sorry. But good music is timeless so it’s not so bad, right? Anyway, we’ve been keeping tabs on both Reppatwa and Motel Eola in their respective careers and we’re thrilled to see them together on a track. August 18th is a great fusion of talents thanks to Motel’s sped up sax sample and Reppatwa’s intricate interweaving wordplay. Fingers crossed this is the making of a beautiful hip hop friendship and there’ll be a full length release on the cards at some point.
