Small Professor’s ‘A Jawn Supreme’ series came to a head last month with Vol. 3 after June’s Vol.1 and August’s Vol. 2.
But while the last instalment was a nod to the Golden Age, Vol. 3 is a lot more sombre and expressive. For example, SP described the opener “trouble don’t last,” as “a reminder to hang in there through the bad situations life may throw your way” while cuts like “INTP” and “original rap,” pack an angry punch. But the poignancy of Vol. 3 doesn’t dilute any of the album’s stonking beats; if anything, the emotions accentuate the feeling.
