Computer game samples are fantastic when executed brilliantly. One such example is 2 Mello’s Spirit Of The Night (Secret Of Mana Remix), where the producer replays the melody on the piano and throws on some sax and a crackling boom bap rhythm. I think this would excel even more if it was played with a live band giving it some richness in texture with a real piano or a Rhodes and a dusty sax.
