I use the word “vibe” a lot to describe music if I’ve used the word “feel” too much but Tay Devenny’s Leitha is the epitome of that. Produced by Germany’s Wun Two, Leitha starts with a quote from Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams before rolling into a cloudy filtered jam allowing Tay Devenny clearance to spit the diverse wordplay we’ve grown accustomed to from the UK wordsmith. Stanley Ipkuss lends a helping hand in the latter half of the track to round off a brilliant beat. Definitely a fan of the artistic flourishes in both track and cover design. VIBES!
