I love hearing musicians talk about their record collections because it opens a door to their inspirations. For Konbini, Pedro Winter (Busy P), Myd, and Gaspard Augé (of Justice) fingered their way through Ed Banger’s vinyl collections and discussed some of their favourites. Look out for Giorgio Moroder, Timbaland, Thomas Bangalter (formerly of Daft Punk) and a load of French disco and US hip hop. When people try to distinguish cultural appreciation from cultural appropriation, this is an example of the former.
